How To Add an App to Your Profile

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

Following popular demand we have recently upgraded the profile so now you can add your apps.

Whether you want your app to be showcased, shared and discovered or you want to submit it to an app competition in partnership with dotopen, like the AppCircus, you will find this new feature very useful and, of course, free.

To start you will have to log in to dotopen and once in your dashboard click on “UPDATE PROFILE”

Once at the edit profile screen choose the tab “apps” and make sure you fill in all the fields. You can also embed a YouTube video and screenshots to further describe what your app is about.

Once you are done describing, make sure that you click on “SAVE CHANGES”.

You can add as many apps as you like just hit the “+ add app” icon and start over.

Simple enough! Of course, you can always drop us a line for questions, feedback or bugs reports!

Mobile Premier Awards

The Mobile Premier Awards announced the 20 finalists to the Mobile Premier Awards in Innovation: The best grassroots startup innovation chosen by their peers in partnership with MobileMonday, the global community of mobile professionals.

The finalists were chosen by an international jury of the most recognized mobile industry experts who will pitch their idea, application or project at the Mobile Premier Awards event that takes place in Barcelona, at the Petit Palau of Palau de la Musica on February 15, 2010 in front of investors, operators, media companies, peer entrepreneurs, and press and influential bloggers.

Registration to attend the event is now open. Get your ticket at http://www.dotopen.com/mobile-premier-awards.

Mobile Sunday Barcelona

The fifth annual Mobile Sunday – an unofficial, informal and generally cool and funky gathering of mobile bloggers and their chums – will be taking place in Barcelona on the eve of this year’s Mobile World Congress on Sunday, February 14, 2010, starting at 7pm CET.

This year, the event takes place at one of the coolest new bars in Barcelona, the VINTAGE – around the corner of the venue last year – for more space and a jazzy, loungy athmosphere, with different rooms and salons. We’ll be able to host 500 people in a relaxed atmosphere with drinks and bites, including lots of sofa’s, private salons, four screens, a heated terrace and a dancefloor for the ones who like to kick off the  busy week with a swing.

Attending Mobile Sunday is free to all registered users of dotopen.com who will also get their company’s logo and pitch shown on the many screens visible at the event.

How to register

Log in to dotopen.com and click on attend this event in your toolbox. If you’re not a dotopen member yet, then register and publish your profile, it’s FREE! Non-dotopen members can purchase a ticket to Mobile Sunday at Amiando here.

We recommend not to wait last minute to book your tickets. There are limited seats and both events sell out every year in advance!

We hope to see you in Barcelona!

We’re happy to announce the partnership between dotopen and Slush!

Ever heard of Linux, MySQL or IRC? Nokia ring a bell? All of them came from the slush… Could it be that slush is the missing ingredient? At least you will not find much of it in Silicon Valley. Or in any of the other wannabe Silicon Valleys. You will find many new companies in the slush that you never heard of. Most of them built by entrepreneurs with names you can’t pronounce.

Slush Helsinki provides you with a perfectly safe, guided tour to this amazing, cold and dark habitat of cool new startups. If you’re a cool new startup, you should be there!

Go to dotopen.com/Slush-09 to find relevant info about the event on November 3-4 in Helsinki, Finland. dotopen members have a one-click access to register their startup for a demo table at Slush*. Selected startups might also get selected for a special Talkoot Treatment and get an opportunity to pitch to a board of experts organized by Slush.

So, what are you waiting for? Login or register to dotopen to apply for this exciting opportunity! The deadline for submission to Slush is 30.10.2009.

We hope to see you there!

the dotopen team.

* The demo table doesn’t cost you anything extra, but you still need to get your Slush ticket.
