Last Friday, July 24, we introduced the public beta of the dotopen B2B communication platform with an announcement on TechCrunch by Robin Wauters. The post created an avalanche of tweets of people tweeting and retweeting the announcement. In only a couple of hours, there were over 350 tweets (of which +200 retweets on TechCrunch only!).
Our post was the 3rd most popular post on TechCrunch of July 24 out of 23 posts published that day, and only advanced by a post on the announcement of the Apple Tablet and a post on Twitter cracking down some spam accounts (always immensely popular!). Other posts left behind our announcement included posts with news and announcements on Facebook, FriendFeed, Yahoo, Nokia (acquiring our friends at Cellity), Microsoft, Google, Verizon, AOL, and others…
Well, believe it or not but we can live with that as a starter
1,775 unique visitors from USA, UK, Spain, Germany, India, Canada, the Netherlands, Italy, France and Belgium came to our site during the day. We counted some + 6k pageviews, not bad for a 1st day, no?
In only a couple of hours, we had some 350 companies registered to dotopen.
Thanks to all our friends and followers out there who made this happen and supported us, in the end the dotopen platform is all about… YOU and your organization!
We will keep working, listening to the feedback and suggestions of our members, users, and visitors improving the service and bringing more organizations to use the platform.
