How To Add an App to Your Profile

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

Following popular demand we have recently upgraded the profile so now you can add your apps.

Whether you want your app to be showcased, shared and discovered or you want to submit it to an app competition in partnership with dotopen, like the AppCircus, you will find this new feature very useful and, of course, free.

To start you will have to log in to dotopen and once in your dashboard click on “UPDATE PROFILE”

Once at the edit profile screen choose the tab “apps” and make sure you fill in all the fields. You can also embed a YouTube video and screenshots to further describe what your app is about.

Once you are done describing, make sure that you click on “SAVE CHANGES”.

You can add as many apps as you like just hit the “+ add app” icon and start over.

Simple enough! Of course, you can always drop us a line for questions, feedback or bugs reports!

Bringing the best global mobile startups and investors together

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010

A few days ago we closed registrations to the Mobile Premier Awards competition, the largest in the industry, with over 600 submissions! The local nominees were great and the finalists selected are sensational.

There are lots of amazing startups, however, which did not make the cuts this year and have a great future ahead. Connecting great projects to potential partners is what we do at dotopen. That is why we are driving an initiative to give all startups who participated to the MPA an opportunity to virtually showcase in front of selected investors.

For investors:

All the investors who request it will receive a document with links to the startup profiles and a temporary login so you can easily get to understand what the hottest startups in mobile do.

There are dozens of investors already using dotopen, discovering and following companies not only as potential investments, but also to do some competitor analysis for the companies in their portfolio, to understand trends and to look around for the unexpected.

If you are an investor and would like to receive for FREE! the list of the startups that participated in this year’s competition can send us your email address here.

For startups:

dotopen is a great tool for showcasing your startup company to potential investors. It has a lot of information that investors need for a first evaluation and supports specific documents and media which usually have no place on the company’s website (i.e. a video pitch, information on the projects you are working on, or even what you are looking for).

With that in mind, if you want to brush up your profile, you can log in here.

We continue to look for ways to further contribute to the innovation ecosystem and add value to our members. If you have some ideas you can send them our way.
