Bringing the best global mobile startups and investors together

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010

A few days ago we closed registrations to the Mobile Premier Awards competition, the largest in the industry, with over 600 submissions! The local nominees were great and the finalists selected are sensational.

There are lots of amazing startups, however, which did not make the cuts this year and have a great future ahead. Connecting great projects to potential partners is what we do at dotopen. That is why we are driving an initiative to give all startups who participated to the MPA an opportunity to virtually showcase in front of selected investors.

For investors:

All the investors who request it will receive a document with links to the startup profiles and a temporary login so you can easily get to understand what the hottest startups in mobile do.

There are dozens of investors already using dotopen, discovering and following companies not only as potential investments, but also to do some competitor analysis for the companies in their portfolio, to understand trends and to look around for the unexpected.

If you are an investor and would like to receive for FREE! the list of the startups that participated in this year’s competition can send us your email address here.

For startups:

dotopen is a great tool for showcasing your startup company to potential investors. It has a lot of information that investors need for a first evaluation and supports specific documents and media which usually have no place on the company’s website (i.e. a video pitch, information on the projects you are working on, or even what you are looking for).

With that in mind, if you want to brush up your profile, you can log in here.

We continue to look for ways to further contribute to the innovation ecosystem and add value to our members. If you have some ideas you can send them our way.

We’re happy to announce the partnership between dotopen and Slush!

Ever heard of Linux, MySQL or IRC? Nokia ring a bell? All of them came from the slush… Could it be that slush is the missing ingredient? At least you will not find much of it in Silicon Valley. Or in any of the other wannabe Silicon Valleys. You will find many new companies in the slush that you never heard of. Most of them built by entrepreneurs with names you can’t pronounce.

Slush Helsinki provides you with a perfectly safe, guided tour to this amazing, cold and dark habitat of cool new startups. If you’re a cool new startup, you should be there!

Go to dotopen.com/Slush-09 to find relevant info about the event on November 3-4 in Helsinki, Finland. dotopen members have a one-click access to register their startup for a demo table at Slush*. Selected startups might also get selected for a special Talkoot Treatment and get an opportunity to pitch to a board of experts organized by Slush.

So, what are you waiting for? Login or register to dotopen to apply for this exciting opportunity! The deadline for submission to Slush is 30.10.2009.

We hope to see you there!

the dotopen team.

* The demo table doesn’t cost you anything extra, but you still need to get your Slush ticket.
